Conference buzz

7 June 2013

The International Culture Health and Wellbeing Conference is only weeks away now. There’s a real buzz of excitement in Bristol and the South-West around the programme which features presentations from an extraordinarily high calibre of organisations and individuals involved in the arts and health sector across the globe. Jane Willis, Director of Willis Newson is one of three conference Chairs. Dr Karen Gray, our Research and Evaluation Manager will be demystifying the subject of evaluation and Deirdre Nelson will be talking about The Napkin Project and the work we commissioned her to deliver for Brunelcare.

Jane Willis will be joining Professor Richard Parish, Director of the Royal Society of Public Health and Professor Gabriel Scally, Director of the WHO Collaborating Centre for Healthy Urban Environments at the University of the West of England as one of the three conference Chairs. She will be welcoming delegates to Day 3 of the conference.

Jane will also be chairing a number of individual sessions, including one on the subject of evaluation by Dr Karen Gray. Karen is presenting a session alongside experienced independent arts consultant and evaluator, Elaine Burke, aiming to demystify evaluation and present tools and pointers for delegates to feel more confident, credible and creative in their own evaluation practice.

We're looking forward to seeing many of you in Bristol between the 24th-26th June.
