Why choose us?
Understanding
Our approach to evaluation is grounded in our knowledge and experience of the arts and health sector. We understand why you need to evaluate and we appreciate the challenges you face in doing so. We are sympathetic both to the needs of artists and to those of health commissioners and practitioners.
Creativity
We, and our clients, are creative. Where appropriate, our evaluation methods and tools reflect this. We have expertise in creative approaches to all aspects of the evaluation process, including aims-setting, consultation, data collection and reporting. In the right situation, this element of creativity can be effective in encouraging participation in evaluative activities and persuading people to respond.
“We were clearly supported in maintaining our own creative/positive vision within a robust process.”
(Lucy Barfoot, Light Box).
Credibility
We have a long-standing relationship with the University of the West of England (UWE), a leading academic centre for the development of arts and health research and evaluation. Our evaluation services have been developed with the support and input of the University. We jointly deliver academically accredited training in Evaluating Arts and Health Initiatives at UWE.
In 2010 the Royal Society for Public Health gave us its award for ‘outstanding contributions to arts and health practice and research’ for our work on the Reach Initiative, praising our ‘clear commitment to monitoring and evaluation’ within the project.
Flexibility
We are flexible in the way that we work with our clients. We can help you choose the kind of service that suits your needs and that will be most effective for your organisation and project, whether this is advice, full hands-on external consultancy, or support and training to help deliver your own evaluation.
