Theresa Bergne has an exceptionally clear understanding of what makes a successful arts programme and an enviable ability to find the right artist for the job. She and Jane Willis first met when Theresa was appointed to curate and project manage the landmark series of artist commissions for Vital Arts at Barts and the London Breast Care Centre. Her wide-ranging experience of working with public organisations, private companies, developers, architects, festivals and venues has included twelve years as public art consultant for the Canary Wharf Group.
Theresa’s own company, Field Arts Projects was set up in 1999 and specialises in the curation and production of events and programmes involving a response to public spaces. Previous projects have included the production of a world-acclaimed sound work, 40 Part Motet by Canadian artist Janet Cardiff and a large installation to mark the re-opening of Somerset House. She is currently co-director with Situations of "Wonders of Weston", a series of art commissions for Weston-super-Mare as part of CABE's Sea Change Art Programme.
