The London Clinic: Photography
Willis Newson, working with our Associate Angela Kingston, curated a selection of artworks for various departments within The London Clinic, a private hospital with headquarters on Harley Street.
The new artworks, predominantly photography, bring corridors and patient bedrooms to life, suggesting quality and distinctiveness and creating focal interest points for staff and visitors. Willis Newson researched artists and identified specific pieces for each location and then oversaw the framing and installation process.
For The London Clinic’s Harley Street Eye Centre we curated work by seven contemporary photographers, with one artist featured on each floor. Work followed a landscape theme and was selected for its quality as well as to be accessible to clients with impaired vision. The collection includes work by Simon Roberts and Sophie Rickett.
In addition, a coherent collection of work by Gina Glover, Luke Stephenson and Neeta Madahar link Nuclear Medicine and the Breast Imaging Department. A number of artist prints and works on paper have been selected for Endoscopy and patient bedrooms.
