St Michael's Church

St Michael’s and All Angels Church in Bristol commissioned a new stained glass window and carved wooden access way as part of a scheme to enhance their new community room. Children from local primary schools and the Moose Play Association were integrally involved through a series of workshops and dance therapy sessions. Stuart Low’s arched window combines drawings and ideas produced by the children with his own style to create a vivid landscape full of natural details and images of children playing. Marilyn Lintern designed doors and a long raised, curving walkway that also doubles as an outdoor play area in the summer. Willis Newson managed the project, working closely with architects and representatives from the play scheme and the church congregation.
